The Photokina 2012 opens on Sept. 18th in Cologne, Germany. We have seen a lot of interesting cameras announced. Ahead of the opening press day, Fujifilm fired its X-F1, Pentax the K-5II and K-5IIs a DSLR with no optical ow pass filter, and the little Q10 mirrorless camera. Sony unveiled 3 iconic cameras : the Cyber-shot RX1, a gorgeous full frame compact camera with the new 35mm 24MP Exmor sensor and a prime lens, the SLT-A99 full frame EVF DSLR and the NEX-6, a well-though mirrorless camera. Leica unleashed the new Leica M and cheaper M-3 rangefinder cameras while also unveiling the D-LUX 6 and V-LUX 4 based on Panasonic's LX7 and FZ200, but also their medium format SLR, the new Leica S. Canon announced 4 impressive cameras : the EOS 6D, a WI-Fi/GPS/Full Frame / Compact DSLR, the Powershot G15, S110 and SX50 HS, all improving their predecessors with a new sensor, a new lens, faster lenses, and so on. Hasselblad surprised us all with a mirrorless camera, a luxury one, the Lunar and Olympus refreshed its mirrorless camera lineup with the new Pen E-PL5 and PEn E-PM2 featuring touch-srceen UI and the new 16MP sensor seen on the OM-D E-M5, the best sensor ever made for MFT cameras.
