Canon CanoScan 9000F MARK II : up to 9600 dpi for film


Canon updates its CCD scanner with the announcement of the CanonScan 9000 Mark II, a versatile scanner that can scan documents as well as analog films or pictures, in a resolution that can reach 9600 dpi. It comes with a comprehensive software suite including a document management application, a handwriting recognition software (OCR) and interface with the trough via ‘scan to cloud “quite explicit.

The CanonScan 9000F Mark II can scan flat documents in 4800 x 4800 dots and can reach 9600 x 9600 dots per inch for the film negatives which will allow prosumer as amateur photographers to digitize their photo library. The CanonScan 9000 Mark II offers the usual photo enhancements softwares to end up with improved scanned image quality. It can scan up to 4 slides at a time or 9 strips of 35mm film together. It is compatible with all films till 120 format.

The Canon CanoScan 9000F Mark II is pretty inexpensive. It will be sold $249 and available in April 2013.
