This is a duo of lenses that adds the renowned Voigtländer optician to its range of prime lnses with a 50mm f/1.5 for Leica-M cameras (as an alternative to the expensive 50mm f/1.1 lens) and a super fast portrait lens for mirrorless cameras in MFT mount.
Voigtländer Nokton 50mm f/1.5 Aspherical VM Leica M lens
This lens is a new revision of the 50mm Leica M mount lens intended for Leica rangefinder cameras. It is described by Voigtländer as a cheaper alternative to the 50mm f/1.1 Nokton VM, which is not very difficult, to be cheaper I mean … This lens construction embeds a simple enoughwith six elements in five groups and distinguishes itself from the competition by circular aperture made of 10 blades. Its closest focusing distance is 70 cm, which is 20 cm better compared to its predecessor. The lens will be available in two colors, black or silver with a selling price yet to be confirmed.
Voigtländer Nokton 42mm f/0.95 Micro 4:3 lens
In the wake of Panasonic which finally announced developping a great portrait focal length to its range of mirrorless MFT lenses, Voigtländer unveils this new 42mm f/0.95 lens which is equivalent to a 85mm when mounted on a MFT camera for which it was designed. This 42mm lens will be suitable for Panasonic Lumix G, Olympus Pen and OM-D mirrorless cameras. As on the 50 mm Leica-M mount, this 42 mm in MFT mount is equipped with a 10 blades aperture diaphragm. We do not yet know the sale price of this lens, but it should be available during next summer.
