Here is the new waterproof compact camera of Fujifilm’s range : the FinePix XP60. This year, Fujifilm has focused on shooting speed and Full HD video performance of its tough camera.
The Fujifilm FinePix XP60 is waterproof till 6 m deep. The designers of this compact waterproof camera have also endowed the battery cover with a double protection. It meets the IPX8 standard for immersion under 6m of water for 2 hours. Shockproof, the XP60 should survive a shock or fall equivalent to 1.5 m high and is expected to survive a sandstorm in the desert. (It is advertised as “sandproof” via the IP6X standard it has been tested for)
16MP CMOS – 28-140mm – 1080i – HDR – 360° panoramas
The Fujifilm FinePix XP60 is equipped with an internal 5x optical zoom, 28-140mm. The image is stabilized by a CCD-shift system. Those who want aextra zoom power will opt for the intelligent digital zoom to reach a 10x total range. In burst mode, the XP60 can reach 10 fps at full resolution. Neat, but this burst is limited to 10 consecutive images and therefore will only last a second. In reduced resolution, the camera can shoot even faster to decompose a movement like a golf swing, for example, reaching a rate of 60 fps in “Image size S” and 16:9. Obviously, this method uses the high speed video capabilities of the camera. Continuous hooting mode can be activated via a dedicated button.
Fujifilm FinePix XP60 gets a 16MP CMOS sensor that allows to record videos in 1080i at 60 fps. A slow motion video mode is available reaching the high-speed of 240 fps in low resolution though. The video mode benefit from the intelligent automatic scene detection as well as of the noise reduction which avoids recording on the soundtrack of the video the noise of the lens motorization. In Visualization mode, some basic video editing tasks can be performed.
The XP60 offers various creative filters that I mentionned on the high-end X100S and X20 like pop color, toy camera, miniature, partial color, high-key and soft focus. Here, Fuji has also added the “Cross Screen” filters which creates stars and reflections on bright lights. The camera also benefit from the ability of the CMOS sensor to acquire images at high speed and offers a multiview HDR mode, a sweep panorama (360°) and a 3D photo mode that combines two photos taken with a different point of view.
The Fujifilm FinePix XP60 is the available in yellow, blue, red, green and black poster with his look, his hand fighter.
