This video is a test of the Tamron AF Di II VC 18-270 PZD superzoom lens on a Canon EOS 550D / Rebel T2i but also a lesson for all of us on what’s important about photography and videography… nope, our beloved high-tech DSLRs, expensive fast prime lenses, … are important but there is nothing more important than trying, getting some time out to take great images. So, this is a lesson of truth : we focus too much on hardware and often we can not achieve anything great with that camera, because we think we can’t. But that is wrong. Look at this beautiful video, it has been filmed handheld with an amateur DSLR. Still, they did a great job, adding some traveling effects (smooth) to give the film some dynamics. The final movie has been edited in Final Cut but its colors have been twicked in Color.
This reminds me f this talented French photographer, Marwane Pallas, in his early 20s, who has wun several prices last year for his outstanding work using… a Canon EOS 500D / Rebel T1I with a Canon EF 50mm F1.8 lens. See his portfolio at Marwanpallas.com
