The Magic Lantern development team just released the first new version of its home made firmware for the Canon EOS 7D. This new firmware brings a full bundle of new settings and functions like the possibility to adjust volume while recording a video, the magic zoom function through the shutter button half-press or the focus ring of your lens, zebra focus peaking, etc… etc… The team says that they will add new features later on as soon as they are fully operational. The Magic Lantern firmware has been tested on several camera bodies without any issue. To switch your DSLR to the Magic Lantern version of its firmware, you have to update your camera first with Canon latest 7D firmware that has been updated last summer with a much improved V2.
