Samyang does not stop adding new references to its ambitious lens range and adds a new lens familiy : cine lenses, lenses designed for shooting vidéo with HDSLR. The range will have 3 reference at launch within a few weeks (late august, early september) :

  • Samyang 14mm T3.1 ED AS IF UMC : €410- £330, 14 elements in 12 groups, 3 high refractive index lenses, 2 ED glass lenses, one aspherical element and a multilayer coating to reduce flare and ghosing.
  • Samyang 24mm T1.5 ED AS IF UMC : €650,£530, 13 elements in 12 groups, 4 ED glass lenses, 2 aspherical lenses, multilayer coating.
  • Samyang 35mm T1.5 AS UMC Lens : €520, £420, 12 elements in 10 groups, 2 high refractive index glass lenses, one aspherical lens and a multilayer coating to improve contraste while reducing flare and ghosting.

Dedicated to shooting video on a DLRS, these lenses will be available in Canon and Nikon mount. They all get a rubber ring in order to use a follow-focus, a loose aperture ring that enables the videographer to change the aperture and the depth of film while filming, smooth and quiet.
No suspens here, they are going to sell like crazy as they are the only lenses for video that are offered at an affordable price for all non professional videogaphers or even non professional ones not belonging to a major studio.

Announcement, lenses, Samyang
