For photography retouching, RAW editing, we photographers need an accurate screen. Eizo is probably the most reliable brand among the wide gamut screens offer but they often come in at an unaffordable price tag. Today, they unveil a new range of ColorEdge monitors with high-end, mid-range and entry level models, the CG, CX and CS lines. They all share the ability to easily calibrate the display and the uniformity of their brightness. You can even order them with a specigic Gamma curve setting that will be programmed at Eizo factory before shipping.
Eizeo ColorEdge CG series : this is the sucessor to today’s ColorEdge professional line. Available in 24″ (CG246) and 27″ (CG276), the Eizo CG monitors are aimed at graphists, pro photographers, webdesigners…
Eizo ColorEdge CX : this is the mid-range line aimed at photography schools, budget conscious professionals… It gets a new type of spectrocolorimeter to calibrate the screen’s color and offering a longer color accuracy once you have calibrated your screen with an external device. It wil be available in two screen sizes : 20″ (ColorEdge CX270) and in 24″ (ColorEdge CX240). They cover most of the Adobe RGB color space. The hood is complimentary.
Eizo ColorEdge CS : the entry level most affordable monitors of the new Eizo’s offer. It also features a built-in calibration tool but covers a more narrow color space, most of the RGB color space. The hood is optional.
They all get a DVI-I, HDMI and Display port. The Display port allow a 10-bit color depth.
