Canon EF 24-70mm F2.8L II USM : delayed

I just had an official communication from Canon stating that the mass production of the new Canon EF 24-70mm F2.8L II USM had not started yet and the deliveries of the lens are then delayed. The lens that was previously announced with an availability for April, will finally be available in September.

This new lens is quite promising and a lot of photographers had been waiting for this redesigned optics for months. The Canon EF 24-70mm F2.8L II USM has two USD glass lenses, one aspherical element made of Super UD glass, fluorite treatment and Super Spectra coating. Expensive glass. Good glass ? I’ll check that in its review.
