Stunning HD time lapse video of Venus transit 2012


THis week, you have probably heard of the transit of Venus between Earth and the Sun, an event that barely happens every century in pairs. The last one took place in 2004. This week, on June 5th 2012? this rare astronomical penomenon has been recorded my the SDO (Solar Dynamic Observatory) module that is in charged of moitoring the Solar atmosphere and radiation. The SDO launched by the NASA in 2010 has recorded in high-definition, 8 times your HDTV, in multiple images of a wide light spectrum array (wider that what human eye can see). These images have been compiled into one time lapse stunning movie of 2012 Venus Transit.
