Canon EOS 5D Mark III update with EF 40mm F2.8 STM lens

Canon released a firmware update for its star HDSLR, the EOS 5D Mark III which now comes in version 1.1.3. Above all bug fixes this new firmware will allow 5D MKIII users to use it with the EF 40mm F2.8 STM pancake lens, that little tiny lens that was unveiled with the Rebel T4i / EOS 650D which offers a new STM autofocus motorization.

The update also fixes a bug that prevented the camera to power on or off when used with some telezoom lens and the EF 1.4X and 2X extenders.
