Nikon D800 : best camera of the year, wins the Camera Grand Prix 2012

I do fully agree with the Japanese journalists jury of the Camera Grand Prix 2012 which have given the Nikon D800 the title of Camera of year 2012. The  has won the Camera Grand Prix 2012 but also the public votes, and that means a lot. I know that Canon has improved a lot with the new EOS 5D Mark III (viewfinder, autofocus, built quality…) but unfortunately, the sensor technology used by Canon is outdated (read the Canon EOS 5D Mark III sensor review) and that left the Nikon D800 alone for the title. The best lens for 2012 would be the innovative fisheye zoom : the Canon EF 8-15mm F4L fisheye USM.
The Editors Awards go to an other highly qualified photography gear duet : the Sony NEX-7 mirrorless camera and the very sharp M4:3 lens, the Olympus.Zuiko Digital 45mm F1.8.
