Our friends from Seattle just publish an extensive image gallery of photos taken with the Canon Powershot G1 X, the large CMOS sensor based compact camera announced mast week by Canon and that we could preview here on Canon’s booth during the CES 2012. Andy Westlake took a full bundle of images with the G1 X, a nice opportunity for us to download some of them to check the anticipated high level of image quality we expect from the Canon Powershot G1 X.
Visit dpreview G1 X sample image gallery.
But that is not it : dpreview also published a 1080×1080/24p video sequence.
You can do a little session of pixel peeping on the G1 X images. You will see that it features a DSLR-like image quality at all ISO settings and a high level of details zare rendered by its CMOS sensor which size is inbetween a 4:3 and an APS-C sensor.
