We announced the X10 in september, a nice camera designed with the X100’s spirit…. but it had no price… It now has one. It will be sold $599. That is not a cheap camera as expected. It is actually slightly cheaper than Canon’s G12 and Panasonic’s LX5. It counts on its 2/3″ MOS sensor, its optical viewfinder and its super fast f/2.0-2.8 5x lens to beat competitors.
European readers can get it for €529
Speaking of the X family, Fujifilm announced that :
– The X100 is a success (which we were aware of). They have sold 70,000 units so far and expect to reach 100,00 by the end of the year.
– A bridge camera, the X-S1, is on its way.
– An X interchangeable lens camera system should be unveiled in 2012, probably as soon as the CES 2012 in Las Vegas (Jan 10-13, 2012)
